Hello to you all out there. My name's Kev and I picked up our Largo yesterday. It's a '97 2.4 petrol with 17'' alloys. Will try and post a picture!! Never had anything like this before! We all love it ( the wife and the 3 kids with the 4th about to arrive). The only slight problem is the steering starts to judder when you go over 60mph. Hopefully it's just the tracking or wheel balancing.Maybe one of you guys might know what's causing it. Also, do any of you know of a garage that's not too far ...

Despite the horrible cold and wet weather four Largos turned up and a GREAT time was had by all, especially me.

The first to arrive was Glenn (Geezer) in his Highway star. A very nice van indeed despite the fact that Glenn kept insisting that his wheels were 17" but the rest of us all agreed that they were FAR too small to be 17" and were really only 15". Maybe ...

If enough people are interested in this idea then I will devise a quiz that will be mainly Largo related but have a few other questions thrown in for good measure.

As our numbers are still quite low at this present time there will not be a prize this year (hopefully there will be next year) but just the prestigious title of being the VERY FIRST "Largo Enthusiasts club" Christmas quiz winner.

Once all of this was removed there was the engine in all of its glory.

Most of the parts are easily accessible when the tunnel cover is off but it certainly takes a while to remove everything. I would hate to breakdown at the side of the road and have to remove ...

I keep hearing from certain other people that there are not enough Largo owners to support the Largo owners/enthusiasts clubs here in the UK.

Surely by having more than one Largo club it gives us owners a choice as to what we want to view.

It is not about being the biggest or the best that matters it is about having a choice. If people want to belong to more than one owner club then that is fine and should benefit everyone concerned.

I have been trying to remove my front door wind deflectors today as I have a person wanting to buy them from the Largo that we are breaking.

What a job that turned out to be. I could not get them off no matter what I did in fact I ended up breaking one of them.

I have now decided NOT to even attempt to try and remove the other one but leave it on the door.

Has anyone had any luck trying to remove these deflectors? and if so how did you manage to do it as the bond that they are held ...

Has anyone else suffered this problem and what did you do to cure it?????

I had a chance today to try out the rear heating in my Largo. I forgot to check that the rear heating worked when I bought my van. I got the remote out of its little black case (very posh) and when I looked at it I noticed that the symbols were all in Japanese.

Now as I am somewhat of a language expert (well I can understand my wife and and I am sure she speaks a foreign language to me sometimes) It didn't take long to work out what all of the buttons did and surprise, surprise it works ...

Now that fuel is coming down in price it is slightly cheaper to run my 2.4 petrol Largo. I estimate that I get around 26-27 miles per gallon which I do not think is too bad really.

What would you Diesel owners say that you are getting to the gallon in your diesel Largos?

Just trying to weigh up the difference in running costs between a petrol and diesel Largo.

Once we get this forum more established we will be asking for members to become area reps. The area reps will be responsible for arranging meetings and help other members, where possible, within their chosen areas.

Hopefully this will become a good way of meeting your fellow Largo owners and make friends within the club.
